Brian Keith Martin, a beloved father, devoted son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 18th at the age of 42. Born on December 23rd, 1982, in Charleston, WV, Brian grew up with a passion for adventure and a heart full of kindness. Known for his great sense of humor, he could bring laughter to any situation. He was a graduate of Sissonville School, class of 2002, and worked as a laborer out of the Union Hall.

In his spare time, Brian enjoyed hanging out with his family, fishing, and being outdoors. He had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. No matter the situation, Brian brought warmth to those around him. His smile and those big blue eyes could light up any room, and his humor made everyone feel at ease. Brian had an ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.

Brian is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth Javins Martin Mazzie; his children, William, Kaitlyn, and Javen; his brother, Johnny (Charity); his fiancée, Kristin Burdette; his special niece, Brynlee Martin; his nephew Owen Martin; sister-in-law Korina Martin and his fur baby, Tinkin. He also leaves behind many aunts, cousins, family, and friends who will deeply miss him. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Martin, and his grandmother, Juanita Javins, both of whom he cherished dearly. His legacy of love, kindness, adventure, humor, and appreciation for simple joys has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Stowers and Pastor John Jenkins officiating. In keeping with Brian's wishes, he will be cremated following the service.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
