Brenda K. Rankin White, 66, of Charleston passed away July 18, 2011 in Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by her family. Heaven was graced by a new angel's presence.
Brenda was born October 30, 1944 to the late Jess B. and Ruby M. Rankin. She passed on many wonderful life lessons, love and memories to her family and friends. She was a very hard working, caring, dedicated and compassionate person and loved children.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her patents, were a daughter, Angela D. White and husband, Clem Edward "Ed" White.
Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life, her son, Brian Rankin of Charleston; sisters, Sandra "Susie" Kenney of Charleston, Betsy Phillips of Charleston, Kathy Wagner of Elkview and Pamela Carte of South Charleston; brothers, Michael Rankin and his wife, Sherry, of South Charleston, Jay B. Rankin and his wife, Tammy, of Charleston; sister-in-law, Alberta Clark and her daughter Kathy Shoff of New Galilee, Pennsylvania; special niece, Joyce Stalnaker of Charleston; and several other nieces, great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much; and her dog, Sheba.
The funeral service will be 1pm Friday, July 22 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give their extended thanks to all of her caregivers with Hubbard Hospice House for the compassion and wonderful care.
