Bobby Lee Shamblin, 75, of Sissonville died suddenly at home on July 30, 2012.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Linda Mae Shamblin; and his parents, Ottie and Freda Shamblin.
Bobby was born in 1936 in Charleston, WV and graduated from Sissonville High School in 1955. He retired from Kroger where he was a truck driver for more than 25 years. He was a member of Fisher''s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son Scott and his wife Cindy of Sissonville; grandsons Tyler and Trevor; his sister Patty Sisson; and his brother-in-laws Ronnie and Paul Boggess; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends all of whom were a special part of his life.
Services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 3, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastors Al Mendez and David Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at the Funeral home.
