Billie R. Phillips, 72, of Sissonville died April 15, 2011 at home.
Billie was born June 30, 1938, served in the Army 503rd Airborne and retired from General Electric.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Amanda Phillips; brothers, Jesse "John" and Jack "Lou" Phillips; sisters, Ruby Reveal, Audrey Slater and Sadie Sayre.
Left to cherish his memory are son, William Tracey Phillips and his wife, Jimelle; grandchildren, Paige, Zachary and Hannah; many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
The Funeral Service will be 1pm, Tuesday, April 19 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Pete Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips'' Cemetery, Second Creek, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 R H L Blvd # 6 South Charleston, WV 25309-8273.
