William "Bill" Benton Scruggs, 64, of Given passed away October 29, 2009 in CAMC General Hospital after a long illness.
Bill was a loving grandfather having retired from Sears working as an electronics technician with 36 years service. He was a master electrician, served as a Staff Sergeant with the Air Force, and received his Bachelor''s Degree from WV State College in Math. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a member of the St. Albans Moose Club.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha Scruggs.
Left to cherish his memory is loving wife of 42 years, Barbara Scruggs and loving dog, Chloe, at home; children, Russell Allen Scruggs and his wife, Connie Sue, of Ripley, and Angela Danielle Scruggs and her fianc, William Pauley, of Sissonville; sisters, Mary Ellen Rager, and Linda Lambert both of South Charleston, and Anne Foster of Lakeland, FL; brother, James Scruggs of Bremen, OH; grandchildren, Nathaniel William Pauley, Matthew Alan Scruggs, Hayley Kathleen Scruggs, Julia Paige Scruggs, and Noah Thomas Scruggs.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Monday, November 2nd at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Private entombment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
