Wilbur Rancil "Bill" Holmes, 78, of Tuppers Creek passed away Jan. 27, 2009, at home.
He was a retired pipefitter from Union Carbide Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Ardona Jordan Holmes of Tuppers Creek; children and their spouses, Danny and Jeanette Holmes of Sissonville, Lois and Ron Shamblin of Derrick''s Creek, David and Karie Holmes of Sissonville, and Dennis and Teresa Holmes of Kenna; sister, Elizabeth Brewer of Chandler Drive; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from noon until 2pm Saturday, Jan. 31, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Burial will follow in Goff-McClanahan Cemetery, Kellys Creek.
There will be no service at Bill''s request.
He lived a good life and will be missed by all who knew him.
