William "Bill" Rex Good, 55, of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 25, 2010 in Hubbard Hospice House due to an extended illness.
Bill was a licensed land surveyor with Kanawha Stone for 15 years and several other companies throughout his career. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School class of 1974 and a graduate of Glenville State College. He was an avid reader and outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Good Spradling.
Left to cherish his memory are sons, Cory A. Good and Christopher W. Good both of Sissonville; parents, Rex and Elaine Good of Sissonville; brothers, Rick Good and his wife, Kathy, of Huntington, and Doug Good and his wife, Cheryl, of Sissonville; nieces, Christina, Meghan, and Morgan Good all of Sissonville; great niece, Cassidy Good of Huntington; nephews, James Spradling and his wife, Emily, of Sissonville and Casey Good of Huntington; special caregiver, Brenda Good of Poca; and several aunts and uncles.
A very special "thank you" to Hubbard Hospice House for their love and care of Bill during his final days.
The funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, April 28 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Gary Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
