Beverly Gay Baldwin, 52, of Sissonville passed away September 25, 2013 in CAMC Memorial Hospital.
Bev''s family lost one its most beloved members. She was born March 14, 1961. Bev lost her fight to survive a severe upper respiratory infection that had completely overwhelmed her already compromised lungs. Bev was an integral part of Baldwin''s Used Auto Parts since its inception and remained so up until her death. Even though she was ill she insisted on being at the office because she was needed. She supervised the office and was the "go to" lady if you needed something taken care of or if you needed advice. Baldwin Auto Parts will never be the same without her presence and sense of humor. Bev was a leader, friend and a ray of sunshine to a whole community on Happy Hollow Road. She raised her daughter and grandson with an ease that no other person could have done. She has left this family and they truly will miss her and feel they have lost the backbone of their entire family. With Bev, this world is a cold lonely grey place that can never have the delight of her presence again. If you had not met Bev then you truly missed out on knowing one of the beautiful and brilliant people of this world. She was the best mother Amber could have ever had.
Bev and her husband "Bugs" loved animals. They would take in unwanted puppies and none were ever turned away. All wildlife, deer, birds, etc., were nursed back to health when they would show up injured.
Our lord knew she could suffer no more and he brought her home. She is waiting there for us beside Evelyn and Mikey.
We lost our Bev, Bugs lost his wife, best friend, and soul mate. Her mother lost an exceptional loving daughter, her sisters lost their gifted sister and God gained a special angel.
Bev leaves her broken-hearted Husband, John "Bugsy" Baldwin; daughter, Amber Nicole Baldwin; sons, Johnny M. Baldwin and wife, Shannon, and David Earl Baldwin and wife, Pam; parents, Jimmy Joe and June Miller; sisters, Becky Johnson and her husband, Mike, Terry Mulcahy and Joe Mulcahy; grandson, Milano Lee John; brother-in-law, Kenny Baldwin and wife, Delores; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Webb; nephews, Steven Webb, Joey and Eric Mulcahy, Cary Johnson; nieces, Mia Clark, Cindy Stutler and Danielle Baldwin, and Tia Baldwin; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2pm Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow in the Baldwin-Derrick Cemetery, Happy Hollow Road, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
