Betty Lou Santiago, 75, of Charleston, WV, passed away at Mountain View Care Center on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1949, to the late George Emery Snodgrass and Mabel Ann Shaffer Snodgrass.

Betty retired from Cape Canaveral Hospital in Florida as a Dietary Supervisor.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Albert Santiago Sr., brothers Dale Mark Snodgrass, George Snodgrass Jr., Bill Shaffer, and Eddie Snodgrass, sisters Janie Lee and Elenita Miller.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Kathy Santiago (Shawn Johnson) of Ohio, and Erica Santiago of WV, son Albert Santiago Jr. of Florida, brother Richard "Rick" Snodgrass and sister-in-law Melody Snodgrass, grandchildren Justin Hunt of Colorado, Janice Flory of Texas, Tommy Flory of Florida, Quinn Flory of New York, Matias Santiago of Florida, Randal Santiago of Florida, and Charleeanne Santiago of Florida, great-grandchildren Albert Hunt, Aliana Hunt, and Jaslene Woods, niece Sherry Wooten of Florida and many other nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank friends Linda Burton, June Prince Betty, sister-in-law Melody Snodgrass and brother Richard "Rick" Snodgrass, the Mountain View Care Center team, her CNA Ciera, and her hospice nurse Nichole.

In keeping with Betty's wishes, she will be cremated, and the family will have a special memorial in April on her birthday.
