Betty Ann Holden has passed away in her home on this day, Oct. 21, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with illness at the age of 61. At the very core of this fight, she held to the love of her family that provided her strength with every single breath, and that same love that let her peacefully go in the night.

Betty Ann was born Sept. 10, 1954 and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Garnett Edens, both of Sissonville. But there are many left to carry on her memory and life lessons. Her immediate family consisted of a loving and strong husband, Wesley Holden Jr. of Sissonville, and two daughters with families, Natasha and Jason Jones as well as Andrea and Joe Gregor, both of Sissonville. She leaves behind her absolute most treasured grandchildren, Anna Gregor, Emma Jones and Allison Gregor. She also leaves her six siblings: brothers, Carroll Edens of Sissonville, David Edens of Sissonville, Willis Edens of Sissonville, Tommy Edens of Sissonville and Steve Edens of Charleston, and sister, Dolly Edens of Aurora, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends she has gained along life''s path.

Funeral arrangements have been made at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, for Friday, Oct. 23. There will be visitation beginning at 11 a.m., with the service following at noon.

She will be laid to rest in the presence of family members at Layne Family Cemetery following the service.
