Betty Jean Asbury Hatcher, 80, Born March 22, 1932 to the late Arland and Violet Asbury in Charleston, WV.
She attended Stonewall Jackson High School. She worked after high school at Thaxton Drug store, Rose City Press, KRT Bus Services and last at Wendy''s in Jefferson. She was an active member of the Moose Club.
She was a very loving mother, a great house keeper and an excellent cook. She traveled a lot with her then husband Julius, who was in the Navy having lived in the West Indies, England and California. She enjoyed planting flowers, reading books and her pets and family. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son Gene Arland Hatcher.
She is survived by Son Julius O. Hatcher II; Daughter Theresa Bowen and husband Jimmy; grandsons Mark Kapp, Robert Kapp, Julius O. Hatcher III and Josh Hatcher; step grandsons Erik and Michael Barker; great grandchildren Marcus, Cody, alex and Abby Kapp, Elizabeth Hatcher, Halea & Kalob Kapp, Cheyeanna Walls and Stormy Hatcher.
Services will be held Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with the Rev. David Horn Officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Liberty, WV.
