Betina "Tina" Keiffer Hanshaw, 59, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.
She was born April 4, 1958, in Charleston, to James Keiffer and Sandra Cavender Keiffer. She was a graduate of Sissonville High School, Class of 1977. Tina was employed by CASCI, as a claims processor and became the facility coordinator. She recently received an award for 20 years of dedicated service. She loved the ones she worked with and they all loved her dearly.
Tina''s most enjoyed time was spent with family, friends and her animals. She loved being outdoors; enjoying her farm, riding horses, fishing, camping, boating, gardening and cooking for friends and family. She could not wait for summertime to arrive so she could take trips to Summersville Lake where she spent a lot of her time with family and friends and made many good memories.
She leaves behind her father James Keiffer and mother Sandra Cavender Keiffer, of Charleston; her loving husband of 38 years Randy Hanshaw; father-in-law Harry Hanshaw and mother-in-law Loretta Hanshaw of Charleston; daughters, Kara Hanshaw and Alicia Hanshaw of Sissonville; sisters, Tami Keiffer Reed (Kent Reed) of Charleston and Terri Keiffer of South Charleston; niece, Donovan Reed; nephews, Keiffer Reed and Trenton Reed. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents Alma Hazel Cavender and Luther Thomas Cavender.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville with Pastor Kenneth Petry officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Flowers will be gladly accepted as well.
