Bernard R. Jones, 71, of Charleston went to be with the Lord March 18, 2008 in CAMC Memorial Division after a long illness.
Bernard was a retired truck driver for Shamblin Stone, Inc. with 17 years service. He enjoyed hunting, and was saved and baptized at Derrick''s Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: Grandson, Joseph Roberts; Great Granddaughter, Jayla Canterbury.
Survived by: Loving wife of 51 years, Nannie A. Jones at home; Children and their spouses, Dennis and Sandra Haynes of Sissonville, Randy and Mary Jones of North Charleston, Lonnie and Wanda Jones of Dunbar, Rita Taylor of Charleston, and Kimberly and Kevin Daugherty of Kenna; Brother, Emil Jones of Pinch; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Friday, March 21 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sisssonville. A gathering of friends and family will be 6-9pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
