August 25, 1980 – November 16, 2025
Benjamin Dean Comer, 45, of Sissonville, the beloved father of four children and two grandchildren, passed away at home November 16th, 2025.
He was a graduate of Sissonville High School and led a successful career in the HVAC field. Ben was a quiet, compassionate man with a kind heart. He left us too soon and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a great dad and will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family and friends.
He is survived by his father Alan Comer of Sissonville; daughters Alexis Cottrell (Chris), Paris Harper and Brooklyn Comer, son Khoal Comer, all of Sissonville; brother Jason Comer (Angie) of Graham, NC; grandchildren Kylah and Nevaeh Cottrell of Sissonville; nephew and nieces Holt, Brynna and Shayla Comer all of Graham, NC. As well as Betty Hunter of Elkview who was like a grandmother to him.
Ben was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Comer who loved him dearly, and his cousin Joshua Boggess.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Thursday, November 20th, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, with Reverend Stewart Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Burl Jones Cemetery in Sissonville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or the Ronald McDonald House at www.ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org in honor of Benjamin's love for helping others, especially children.
