Ben "PeeGee" Hoover III, 77 of Dunbar passed away September 5, 2021 at home with family by his side.
He went to join his wife of 44 years, Linda J Hoover; daughter, Michele "Missi" Fore; brother, Thomas
Hoover; father, Ben Hoover Jr and mother, Deloris Hoover.
He was a Veteran of the US Army specializing in sharpshooting and paratrooping. Later in life, he also
retired from Lucent Technologies. He was a devoted WVU football fan. Family meant everything to him.
Being a full-time grandpa may be what he thought he was doing, but he was much more to his two
grandsons that he raised as his own. He also enjoyed meeting with his buddies and having a beer, going
to the shooting range and golfing.
He is survived by his grandson's Joseph Jarrell &; Ryan (Kayla) Fore; granddaughter, Gracelyn Fore; great-
granddaughter, Elaina Fore; sister, Robin Sovine; brother, John (Brenda) Hoover; sister-in-law, Janice,
(Dennis) Vaughn, Sue Hoover &; Libby Issele; brother-in-law, Jack (Georgia) Smith and George (Brenda) Smith; along
with several nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
