Bass Johnson,85, of Sissonville, died July 5, 2008 at home surrounded by his wife Lena, daughter and son in law Geraldine and Alfred Garbosky, his hospice nurse Bobby and friends Hank, Vince, Maxine and Ronnie. He was preceded in death by brothers, Chris, Hass, Harold, Herman, Tommy, Sil, James Jr., and parents Floyd and Lina Johnson, sisters: Eva, Molly, Geneva all of Weeksbury, KY. Preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Blevins Johnson, grandchildren, Misty Williams, son in law Roger Williams and special friend Evalene Garbosky. He is survived by wife, Lena Newhouse Johnson. Daughters Jeanette Williams, Geraldine (Alfred) Garbosky, grandchildren Tammy Carpenter, Greg Williams. Great Grand Children, Jeremy and josh Carpenter, Joseph Williams. Sisters Irene Thacker of High Hat, KY, Rilda Carpenter of Paintsville, KY Brothers, Calvin and I.B. Johnson of Weeksbury, KY Bass will be missed by us and lots of friends, but will never be forgotten. We loved him. He was so kind and caring Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. officiating. Entombment will be in the Floral Hills Mausoleum, Pocatalico.
