Barbara Karen Anderson, 84, of Charleston, WV, passed away at CAMC Memorial on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born on November 26, 1940, to the late Cubie and Ester Shamblin.
Barbara was a lifetime member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She loved her family and friends. Barbara will forever be known as the Candy Lady.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her sisters, Betty, Loretta, and Carolyn.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 64 years Larry Harold Anderson; daughters Kim (Dean) Hayson, Becky (Barry) Stricklen, and Sarah (Todd) Boggess; sister Pat (Jim) Hawley; grandchildren Andrew (Olivia) Hayson, Mikayla (Chris) Hutton, Jarad Hayson, Austin (Kalin) Boggess, Macie Boggess, and Hanna Stricklen, great-grandchildren Isabella Hayson, Ivy Hutton, and Jackson Cremeans.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 1113 Lakewood Drive, Sissonville, with Pastor James Ellis and Pastor Rob Bumpus officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
