Arvie M. Ashby, 95, of Pocatalico passed away December 31, 2009 at Hubbard Hospice House.
She was born August 7, 1914 in Jackson County at Advent, WV to the late David Siders and Wyoma "Nine" Johnson .
Also preceding her in death is her husband of 72 years Albert "Abbie" Ashby and grandson Steven Darrell Ashby and sisters Addie Hackney and Geraldine Hackney, brothers Earl Siders and Olie Siders.
She is survived by her son and his wife George Darrell Ashby and Sharon of Pocatalico.
Grand Daughter in law: Lisa Ashby of Pelion, SC.
Great Grandsons: Lance Allen Ashby and wife Alisha Mc Coy Ashby and Ryan Darrell Ashby and his girlfriend Kelsey Lynn D''Amico all of Irmo, SC.
One surviving sister, Margie Campbell and husband Ruben of Pocatalico, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday January 4, 2010 at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Deel and the Rev. Keith Monday officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ashby Family Cemetery, Allen''s Creek, WV Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Sunday at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
