Arnetta R. Painter, 83, Scott Depot passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 25, 1932 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Shirkey and Hattie Hay. Arnetta was a graduate of Morris Harvey College, now UC, with a degree in English. She was a teacher for Kanawha Schools for 25 years.

Arnetta will be missed by her loving husband, Lawrence Painter; three sons, Edgar Painter of Hurricane, Kevin Painter of Harrisburg, NC, and Eric Painter of Parkersburg; a sister, Rainelle Painter of Sissonville; three brothers, Randall Hay of Sissonville, Paul Hay, Rockwood, TN and Jim Hay of Eden, UT; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will at 1pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Arnold Shaffer officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
