Arlage E. Wines, Sr., 71, of Clendenin passed away April 20, 2013 at CAMC Memorial following a long illness. He was born July 24, 1941 to the late Garrett Hobart and Nonie Katherine Milam Wines.

Arlage was retired from the US Postal Service as the Postmaster at Pratt, WV. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren who he loved dearly. Not a day went by that he did not express hi love for his wife. He will be sadly missed by his wife and family.

In addition to his parents Arlage was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Wickline, Reva Clark, Maxine Taylor, Lou Taylor; brother, Garrett Wines; brother-in-law, Leon Burdette and sister-in-law, Shirley Burdette.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Dareen Burdette Wines; son, Eugene Wines and his wife Lisa; daughter, Lisa Carmelia; grandsons, Zachary Wines and his wife Mandy, Arlage Travis Wines and his wife Jessica; granddaughter, Carrie Carmelia; brothers, Harold Wines, Dayton Wines & his wife Dottie, sisters, Mary Taylor, brother-in-law, Glenn Burdette; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Parsons, Beatrice Gilbert and her husband Ralph and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service will be 1 PM Wednesday, April 24 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

Friends may call from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
