Anna Mae Pritt Whitney, 85, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at CAMC General. She was born on July 5, 1939, to the late Charles B. and Oma L. Summers Pritt.

Anna Mae enjoyed gardening, flowers, and reading. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her sister Brenda Fay Thorton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, James Ira Whitney, her children James Whitney (Melody), Tim Whitney (Erica), Mike Whitney (Sherri), and Bill Whitney (Kista), 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pritt family cemetery, Sissonville.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral before the service.
