Albert "Abby" Ashby, 90, of Sissonville, died December 25, 2006 at CAMC General Division after a short illness. He was a member of Sun Light Baptist Church on Cicerone Route. Albert was the son of the late George and Lucy Hackney Ashby. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Kenny, Oscar, Clyde and Noble, and sisters Della Landers and Lothie Ashby. Surviving Abby is his loving wife of 72 years, Arvie Siders Ashby. His only son Darrell and his wife Sharon of Sissonville. One grandson Steven and his wife Lisa of Columbia, SC. Two Great-Grandsons Lance and Ryan also of Columbia, South Carolina. Abby has many special friends and close family member left behind too numerious to list. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday December 29, 2006 at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Monday and Rev. Clarence Deal officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashby Cemetery, Allens Creek, Cicerone Route, Sissonville, WV. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral Home.
